John began his career as a U.S. Marine during the Global War on Terror. Specializing in dynamic breaching and demolitions, John served as an infantry assault team leader, squad breacher, and intelligence cell member while fighting in southern Afghanistan. As his enlistment came to a close, John was recruited to join the New York City Police Department.

After being hired by the NYPD, John was assigned to the South Bronx— one of New York’s deadliest areas. He excelled on the street, and was quickly selected to serve on the Anti-Crime unit and later Operation Ceasefire, two aggressive special operations teams known for surgically targeting the most violent offenders on NYC streets. After years in special operations, John pushed the envelope even farther, volunteering for a 3+ year undercover assignment. As an undercover, John participated in countless long term narcotics investigations, overdose related homicides, gang violence investigations, firearms purchases, and high risk criminal intelligence operations in the early days of the 2020 riots in NYC.

After retiring from the NYPD in 2022, John began offering his services as a licensed private investigator. He now works with attorneys and private clients to inform litigation strategy and reduce personal risks. He’s been featured as an expert by Newsweek and the U.S. Sun, and has been invited as a guest on multiple television programs.
